To say the least, Albert Pike was a fascinating man. There have been volumes and volumes written about the leader of the Masons but usually not from the Masonic point of view... Pike was a lawyer, poet, Confederate General, owner/publisher of the Memphis, Tennessee, Daily Appeal, a literary genius with the ability to read and write in sixteen ancient languages and a 33° Mason. Here are a couple quotes from various sites: "Albert Pike is to Freemasonry what Shakespeare is to Drama. One is inseparable from the other." "Pike has been termed by a number of well known Masonic authors as the Plato of Freemasonry." "He was an honorary member of almost every Supreme Council in the world, personally receiving 130 Masonic degrees." "One of the most widely read occult books in the world; Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. This book is still given out by the Southern Jurisdiction of Scottish Rite to Masons on being awarded the 32nd Degree." (author: Albert Pike)
-------- And yet, on several occasions while discussing Freemasonry with various members of the Blue Lodge, when I would mention Albert Pike and Roosevelt, the members were able to elaborate about the good deeds of Roosevelt but had no clue as to whom Albert Pike was. I have to admit, I found that a little perplexing. I could go on and on about Pike and the Masons, the Illuminati, the KKK, etc. but practically every statement that I would make would have to be tagged: 'ALLEGEDLY'. So, you do a search on Albert Pike and see what you come up with...Ha! |
