John Parke Custis (1755-1781)...Martha Parke Custis Washington's son and stepson of George Washington. "Jacky" as he was called volunteered to become an aide to his stepfather. He was enlisted only a few days when he died on November 5, 1781, at the age of 26, of "camp fever" (probably typhoid fever). Jacky was the last of Martha's children. Side Note: The correct spelling is Parke...the label is incorrect. |
