| He was the youngest son of Johann Strauss, Sr.; Brother of Johann, Jr. and Josef Strauss. Eduard founded his own orchestra in 1870 and then joined his brother's orchestra in 1871 as musical director. He composed more than 300 dances and waltzes which were obviously influenced by his brother. |
